We’re building our volunteer team to support the daily operations of Moama Art Gallery – Bunyma and create a welcoming, informative experience for everyone who visits. Volunteers will welcome visitors, share information about the gallery and exhibitions, assist in the gallery shop and help care for the space.
When regular opening hours commence, the gallery plans to open Thursday to Sunday, 10 am–4 pm. Volunteer shifts will run from 9:30 am–1 pm and 1 pm–4:30 pm. We’re seeking volunteers who can commit to a regular, ongoing shift to help us provide a consistent and professional visitor experience.
Everyone is welcome to apply. The most important qualities are an open, welcoming manner and a willingness to learn and engage with others. Successful applicants will receive training and induction, along with ongoing briefings about new exhibitions and events.
Joining our volunteer team offers time among artworks, with 17 hectares of bushland as a backdrop, and opportunities to connect with people across generations and backgrounds. You’ll become part of the gallery’s community, helping bring cultural events to life and connecting with artists and audiences along the way.

Visitor Welcome & Gallery Shop
Our first point of contact for visitors, assisting with enquiries, providing gallery information and helping with shop sales and displays.
Exhibitions & Creative Activities
Supporting the installation of exhibitions and assisting with hands-on creative workshops for children, adults and school groups.
Events & Community Programs
Volunteering at exhibition openings, special public talks and community art events held throughout the gallery yearly calendar.
